Lunch Discussion: Leadership Communication

Barbara Sawrey.jpg

Join the next UCSD Connection Lunch when we discuss Leadership Communication with Professor Barbara Sawrey.  Communication to a broader group of people outside your normal work life can be a challenge. Professor Sawrey will be leading a discussion around what needs to happen when we communicate to leadership. She will be offering tricks and tips for the technical people out there that find themselves at odds with leadership and may not even understand why.

Barbara Sawrey recently retired from UC San Diego, where she was a Distinguished Teaching Professor in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry.  In addition to three and a half decades of teaching, Barbara served as the Associate Vice Chancellor, Academic Affairs, and Dean of Undergraduate Education, 2007-17.  All her degrees are in chemistry (B.S. Baldwin-Wallace College, Master's from San Diego Steve University, and Ph.D. jointly from UC San Diego and San Diego State).  She is a current member of the Alumni Board, and also serves on five other non-profit boards, locally, nationally, and internationally.

These are great lunches and always very interesting! Seating is limited so sign up now!
